You are probably reading this post because the title pulled you in, right? We bloggers also have our kind of exercise you know, because we spend most of our time on our PC exposing our eyes to the light rays from the monitors, this can cause red eyes and straining of the eyes.

ways to exercise your eyes against stress

The 20-20-20 rule exercise I am about to teach you is also applicable to people who expose their eyes over a long time to light rays from PC. These people could range from office secretaries, clerks, receptionist and other users of the PC.

Enough of the whole story, if you can apply this 20-20-20 rule I am about to teach you, you’ll reduce the chances of having red eyes as a result of eye strain from the PC light rays.

How To Reduce Eye Strain Using the 20-20-20 Rule

Here is how this rule works;

Every 20 minutes of using or exposing your eyes to your computer screen, you have to take a 20 seconds break and look at objects 20 feet away from you.
This results in the triple 20 (s). 20 seconds break every 20 minutes starring at objects 20 feet away, and it works perfectly.

If you can not keep track of time while using your PC, don’t worry. There are freeware softwares that can help you out in performing this blogger exercise while on your PC. It would pop up every 20 seconds on your PC in order to free your eyes from been hurt and strain.

One of such programs is the Eye Defender. It works with the 20-20-20 rule and can be a perfect partner that would protect your eyes as a blogger or a computer user.

I hope you learnt and would imbibe this little tip into your blogging routine in order to end up having a healthy blog by a healthy blogger.

I wish you the best. Happy Blogging
