Earlier this year, Apple released three brand new iPhones, the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, which were upgrades to all the smartphones they released last year. They all featured awesome display and design, with the iPhone XS Max being the star of them all. One of the features Apple fans were looking forward to this year was a bigger display, bigger than what they had last year on the iPhone x. The new iPhones delivered that, with the iPhone XS max being the biggest of them all.

How To Show Battery Percentage on iPhone XS, XS Max, XR

Though these all iPhones sound exciting, which they really are, you will have to make some comprises. You are offered a lot, with some minor stuff missing. One of the features that is missing this year, is a visible battery percentage meter beside the battery icon. I know you are probably telling yourself that it’s probably something Apple didn’t enable by default and that all you have to do is to enable it via settings and you be home and dry afterward. Well, clearly that ain’t correct.

On the new iPhones, battery percentage doesn’t appear beside the battery bar on the right. Because there is not enough space on the notch. All you have is the carrier name on the left and battery bar, wi-fi and cellular network bar on the right. So if you want to get info on how much battery you have left, you will have to do it manually.

In this article, I am going to be giving a tutorial on how to manually check battery percentage on the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. Since the new iPhones do not feature physical home buttons, gestures are all you have here.

How To Show/View Battery Percentage on iPhone XS, XS Max, XR

  1. Click the right horn of the notch
  2. Swipe down to access the control panel

After performing this basic gesture, information on battery percentage will appear in the top right corner on the control panel and you should be able to tell your battery percentage successfully.

You will have to perform this gesture every time you want to check your battery percentage. after checking it you should swipe down gently to dismiss the control center.
