    1. Roll the trackball to scrollhorizontally in any field where youcan enter/edit or view text.2. Roll the trackball vertically to scrollvertically or to go to different fieldsto change options.3. Hold the Shift (CAP) key while youroll the trackball to select multipleitems in a list (such as messages).You can use this to delete multiplemessages, for example.4. Type the first letter of an item inan options list or menu to jumpdirectly to that item.5. Type the first letters of a name orthe first few letters of the first name& last name separated by a space toquickly find a contact in the AddressBook screen. e.g. 'jo sm' to find JohnSmith.6. Press C to compose a newmessage from within Messages.7. Rearrange the ribbon (menu): Inthe Home (icon) screen, press themenu key to bring up a menu. Youcan then select Move or Hide an icon.If you have hidden an icon, you canchoose Show All to show it again. Ahidden icon will appear with an Xover it or shadowed. To un-hidepress the menu key while on it anduncheck Hide icon.8. The Blackberry display can beadjusted to allow reading messageswhile conserving battery power. You should alsogo to the Owner item in the Optionsmenu and enter your name, a phonenumber (other than yourBlackBerry), etc. When the passwordprotection kicks in, this ownerinformation is displayed on thescreen. NOTE: If the wrong passwordis entered 10 times, the BlackBerrywill perform a security wipe anddelete all data stored on the device.11. To support more than one emailsignature: Go to Messages, then clickthe Menu Key and choose Options,then choose Email settings. Changethe Use Auto Signature to No. Thenuse 'AutoText' to add the alternatesignatures you wish to use. SeeAutoText.12. AutoText: Create your ownabbreviations by going to Options,AutoText. Click the menu key andchoose New. Enter an abbreviationthen enter the text that will replacethat abbreviation. Choose SpecifiedCase if the replacement text is aproper noun, otherwise chooseSmartCase.
