Virtual reality is no more just a theory nor is it limited in its implications. With the advent of virtual reality, it is possible to integrate the real world with the virtual world pretty easily. One of the most valuable tools that connect your virtual world with the reality is VR devices. VR gears are one of the most significant innovation of 21st century.
However, with the advent of VR technology, there are plenty of VR devices to give you some of the most amazing experience. However, of late, the market is flooded with the verities of VR devices with the majority of them being substandard and ineffective. Choosing the wrong VR device can make your VR experience hell-like. It is best to get one of these coolest VR devices to ensure you reap the best of advantages from this technology.
“Virtual Reality is a willing suspension of user’s belief to momentarily believe virtual world as a real world.”
This generation is entering the new world of virtual reality
1. Oculus Rift
One of the most anticipated Virtual Reality devices, Oculus Rift was the one that blew this current market’s delirium. Created by Palmer Luckey and financed using Kickstarter, Rift was later gobbled up by Facebook for a hefty $2 billion.
Users are required to connect their PC’s DVI and USB ports to track the head developments for giving a 3D imagery on the stereo screens.
Rift has a customer version that utilizes a full resolution of 2160 x 1200 working at 233 million pixels for each second with the refresh rate of 90Hz. One of the fact about Rift is that it coordinates with the HTC Vive for refresh rate. Although giving Rift the power of latest PCs, it can push a greater number of pixels than Sony’s VR headset significantly
2. PlayStation VR Headset
With the launch slated for October 2016, there are many expectations with the PlayStation VR headsets. Especially this holds true for all the gaming fans who are eagerly waiting for PlayStation VR headset to come.
The latest adaptation is entirely different from its previous model revealed at GDC 2015. This time around it is expected that Playstation will do away with the 5-inch LCD showcase from its’ first model. This latest release will have a 5.7-inch OLED, the one which shall empower low industriousness that ought to mean less of motion obscuring. The display’s refresh rate is also higher compared to the previous model with to 120Hz. Now gamers can imagine the experience be in playing at 120fps.
3. The Samsung Gear VR
When you compare the Samsung Gear VR, it appears like the Oculus Rift lite as both the companies have collaborated for sharing the technology.
The Gear VR is essentially a VR box utilizing the Samsung Galaxy range of smartphones acting as its processor and display. The handset primarily spaces before the lenses which are a Micro USB dock, and with the use of Super AMOLED display acting as your screen. All you need is a little slot in the phone, gear yourself with the headset and there you are… indulging into the best virtual reality experience. It is imperative to utilize a Samsung handset for making the most of this Samsung Gear.
We are not going to mislead anybody because honestly, the visuals are somewhat grainy. Like you are gandering at your phone’s screen with an amplifying glass – which you are. In any case, there are enormous advantages.
It is already added a host of games plus a whole marketplace of VR video content called Milk VR, and regarding content is one of the best platforms out there.
It is flooded with the wholesome entertainment and gaming content to reap the best advantages of VR as there is a dedicated commercial center of VR video content under the name of Milk VR, and as far as VE content is concerned, it is undoubtedly one of the best platforms out there.
4. Microsoft HoloLens
This is not the miniature version of those massive VR headsets because Microsoft HoloLens heavily relies on the perfect blending of the virtual and half augmented reality to make itself standout amongst the most ambitious release ever planned. The gadget consolidates correct components with virtual “holographic” pictures, which means you can take a glance at your Minecraft world on your dining table, or stroll around the surface of Mars in your family room.
There is a Kinect-style tech that recognizes gestures and voice commands. Also, the headset has a 120-degree field of vision on both axes which give the ‘high definition’ visuals. The headset is well-made with a 120-degree field of view on both tomahawks enabling an efficient Utilization of the Kinect-style tech to perceive motions and voice summons and can pull off ‘top notch’ visuals. However, comparing it against the Oculus Rift, it is still the letterbox contrasted with the resemblance of Vive. All the more significantly, there’s no association with a PC – a full Windows 10 framework is incorporated with the headset and keeps running on a battery.
5. Zeiss VR One
Just like the way Samsung uses a smartphone for the power, Zeiss branded headset also does the same. It is not a mandate to use only one phone when it comes to using Zeiss VR one. It is possible to achieve the best results with any of the iOS or Android handset with any range between 4.7 inches to 5.2 inches.
It comes integrated with the media player dedicated to the pictures and YouTube recordings along with an AR application for providing an augmented experience. There is a vast scope for improvement because of the open-source Unity3D SDK for iOS and Android apps
With lens maker, Zeiss doing the optics work, on can expect a lot out of this VR device.
