Twitter is having a complete makeover, Elon Musk owner of Twitter has transformed Twitter into X. The bird logo on the app will now be replaced with the new official X logo.
Elon Musk started dropping hints about the new development early Sunday morning, 23rd July, with a couple of tweets indicating this change. Elon Musk said in one of his tweets “and soon we shall bid adieu to the twitter brand and, gradually, all the bird.”
The report says once you update Twitter in the mobile app you will notice the bird logo change to the X logo but just for reference purposes indications of the old Twitter will remain on the main web login page.
Employees at Twitter reportedly got an email informing them about the change, the email closed with a statement that says it’ll be the last time Elon Musk sends an email from the Twitter.com domain.
Elon Musk was active on Twitter yesterday, joining conversations about the new logo, he even joined a Twitter space session called “No one talk until we summon Elon Musk”, for almost one hour he sat quietly before unmuting and confirming he would change Twitter’s logo.
Sawyer Merritt a regular Twitter user posted a GIF of a logo he’s offering to be the X logo and Musk pinned it to his Twitter account. Musk said he’s going with the “minimalist art deco” logo but will make changes later to make it better.
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino also posted the logo saying “X is here! Let’s do this.” The logo is now being used as Elon Musk’s profile picture.
I’m off to pitch my logo design, bye!
