Chinese-French mobile phone giant Alcatel is no doubt starting off 2016 with great techy zeal with it latest unveiling of two great products namely, Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 tablet and CareTime children’s watch.
The promising Alcatel Pixi 3 tablet runs Windows 10 out-of-the-box which means we expect it to come with all loaded and latest features of the Microsoft Windows 10. As at the time of this report I am not certain about the exact details regarding the features and specs of the Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 tablet but the device is said to sport an 8-inch display and promises GPS, TV remote control, front and rear cameras and voice call support as well.
The company also announced a CareTime children’s watch, with which parents can call or send voice messages to their children, and children can as well, reply or make calls to pre-set contacts.
The GPS locator built into the wrist watch lets parents know where their kids are, and also includes an app that notifies parents when their children enter or leave a predetermined safe zone. The company also took the wraps off a brand-new Pixi 4 family which includes 3.5-inch and 4-inch smartphones, a 6-inch phablet and a 7- inch tablet, which are said to be premium entry-level devices offering a comprehensive user experience in design, audio, camera and battery life.
Unveiling the latest gadgets, the chief marketing manager of Alcatel emphasized the commitment of the company to ensure they launch products for everyone.
“From concerned parents to first-time smartphone users, we have a device to fit every need,” said Dan Dery, Chief Marketing Officer at Alcatel OneTouch. “Our new line will be showcased at our booth at CES. We invite everyone for a hands-on trial of the devices to experience the excellent value we offer our consumers.”
So what do you think? Should children be put under check as much as the Alcatel CareTime children’s watch plans to do?
