Apple decided to roll out updates to their mobile and computer operating systems in order to boost performance and fix some bugs, reported according to a series of complaints by users on the Apple support forum.
The OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 update was initiated to fix Wi-Fi issues on Macs, and you can get the update by heading over the Mac App Store and selecting Software Update.
iOS for the smartphones on the other hand has also been issued an update that addresses the performance of the mobile operating system for smoother performance, especially for those who upgraded their iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to the new OS and experience poor performance. You can get the update over the air by going through Settings > General > Software Update routine.
