When Asus launched the Asus Zonfone Max which packs a massive 5000mAh battery it seemed like we weren’t going to get another power-bank of a phone from Asus. Alas! We were wrong as Asus has just recently unveiled the Asus Pegasus 5000. This new smartphone from Asus packs a massive 4850mAh battery and will be available in two variants. The model with 2GB of RAM is priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately N42,000), while the more expensive 3GB RAM model will be priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately N60,000).

In terms of specifications, the Pegasus 5000 sports a 5.5 inch full HD display which is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset that is paired up with 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on the model and 16GB of internal storage. It can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card as well.
You will find a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash on the back, and a 5MP front facing camera for selfie and video calling. 4For connectivity, you have 4G and 3G bands, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro-USB port for charging and data transfer.

The new Asus Pegasus 5000 is packaged in a construction that is just 9mm thick, weighs just 176 grams and includes a 4850mAh battery.
