If you have an Alexa device in your house, like an Echo smart speaker, everybody in your house can make use of it. However, there are disadvantages to having it linked to 1 account. This means everybody will be sharing the same account. In this article, we explore a comprehensive tutorial on how to use Amazon Echo with two Amazon Accounts.

What Amazon calls an Alexa Household can be created. Meaning, there can be 2 accounts on the device, and it can distinguish between to-do lists, music lists, and other kinds of content.

Creating a household also lets one member of the house make a purchase with the other’s account, which can get the job done if one person owns a Prime account. (A code can be added if you’d prefer to not let the other household member make purchases.)
