Late last year, the president of  Nigeria issued a Ban on Twitter, denying Nigerians access to the platform. However, this ban wasn’t totaled, which was all thanks to the presence of VPN (Virtual private networks). A provision that gave Nigerians access to Twitter, by offering them a different IP address.

How does he expect us to not drag each other by the throat, the “gbas and the gobs”, the “me and mine”, and “God when’s”, that’s how people began downloading VPN, at least if we can’t be in the Netherlands physically, we should be there virtually, bottom line is, thanks to VPN, we’re able to tour the world.

How Nigerians Are Reacting To The Twitter Ban Being lifted

After 222 days of using VPN, and being in diverse countries for months, it appears that I may be canceling my VPN subscription from my monthly budget since I’m coming back to my country.

According to a news headline posted by The Nation, the federal government of Nigeria has lifted the Twitter ban with President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval.

Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, announced the approval (NITDA).

The Different Types of Nigerians As Regards The Twitter Ban.

1. The ones who did not listen to Buhari and still have their VPN.
They said they don’t care what Buhari wants to say, they are not coming back to Nigeria. All these ones have two heads, they refused to delete their VPN o.

2. The ones who deleted their VPN immediately by 12:00 am.
It was like Airtel was tired of the ban. Immediately it was 12:00 am, they said “ Welcome to a new dispensation “ but you see, MTN and Glo, they slept off by 11:59 pm.

3. The ones who had paid for 5 years of VPN subscription.
It’s like they were never planning on returning, anyways, your fatherland is calling you. we don’t have words for you, just love and light.

4. The ones who have been praying for the ban to be lifted, and are ready to cause havoc.
In case you’re just coming back to Twitter, here’s an update of all you need to know.

VPN or not, trust Nigerians to always drag someone, we were still enjoying and also crying about being back to “ Trending in Nigeria” that’s how Kofo made a tweet dragging Amala.
