How to change SMF default favicon

I remember making a post on how to add a custom favicon to your blogger blog. This post would teach you how change your Simple Machines Forum default favicon to your customized favicon and this is quite easier than adding a custom favicon to your blogger blog.

Here are the steps involved to changing SMF favicon

custom favicon in SMF

– Login to your hosting Control Panel.

– Open your file manager, then locate the directory where your SMF forum was installed, (Note that if your SMF forum was installed in your top level domain e.g yoursite.com, then its installed in “public_html”).

– Search for favicon.ico, Delete this image file, then upload your favicon with the same name as favicon.ico.

– Visit your forum and see the change you’ve made. Its that simple.
