At first, you may want to find out the avenues where your Keyword Research would be helpful for your SEO. First and foremost, you need to keep the fact in mind that keyword research and its usage isn’t a sprint, but rather a marathon, in its truest terms. This is such a process that demands constant vigil and upgradation, just to survive in the fray, leave alone to win.
Auditing websites as per the latest SEO rules
Suppose, you’ve got an ill-managed and poorly optimized website. It is important for you, then to outline an effective SEO strategy, in accordance to all the recent SEO trends. At the very onset of the optimization process, you’ll have to study and know of your website’s current state of affairs and its present rankings on all the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.
You may use keyword analysis tools to get the data about your website’s keyword density of your targeted terms, say for example, which words show up and how many times. These information will be crucial for you to move on to the next stage of keyword research.
In addition to that, they’ll help you to know around which keyword should you optimize your website on. In this case, your chosen keyword should be fully relevant with your niche industry. However, prior to all those intelligence gathering activities regarding fresh keywords for your website, it is necessary for you to conduct a ‘creative espionage’.
This is because you need to review the website of your competitors vis-a-vis auditing your own. Through this way, you may get to know of a very good keyword which your competitors have missed that, in turn, may define your website more appropriately.
Keyword research – The bedrock for SEO content
As soon as you’ve got the above data, particularly – the keyphrases and keywords, from your keyword research, then its time for you to begin distributing them in your website’s content. You need to prepare a list of all your chosen keywords in a more steady and organized fashion.
This has to be done on the basis of a sitemap of the website and using sound judgment, you’ll have to get each section optimized on grounds of the targeted keywords that you want to promote more.
Here, a very important thing to note is that your keyword placement in the content should come naturally and should never appear to be inserted forcefully by the search engine crawlers. For this, you should keep in mind that your content doesn’t become a keyword stuffed one.
