5 Reasons Your Blog Visitors don’t Come Back

Now, you would understand from these points below why your new visitors run far from your blog and won’t make a revisit.

1. Poor Content

This is one of the reasons I don’t revisit most beautiful blogs I come across. They might have one of the best designs out there, but without content, your blog is an empty box. You simply need to develop your writing skills, write killer headlines that can attract and keep new visitors reading every post because of your headlines. A short, comprehensive post would engage readers, and not a lengthy meaningless one.

2. Poorly Designed Blog

After content, the next thing to consider is your blog design. There are lots of good framework themes you can purchase for your wordpress blog which won’t cost more than $60. Get a nice logo for your blog, if you can’t make designs, it’s best you pay someone who can to help you on that. Your design is another aspect that can keep someone coming back to your blog.

3. Long and Irrelevant Domain Names

This is serious but most bloggers these days tend not to take cognizance of this fact. I’ve come across domain names with about 5 words which is very bad for your visitor. People only most times remember domain names with 3 words which is natural. You won’t expect your visitor to come back to a blog with a domain name such as www.freeandroidsmartphonesthataregood.com , this is simply madness. If I visit such a blog by chance, I would immediately close the window and won’t come back.

4. Poor Navigation Structure

This is to a considerable extent a limitation. Most newbies do not know where to go after reading your articles. It is wise if you can structure your headers navigation bar with enticing titles and links. This will keep the user moving about your blog, and they might end up joining your email list. Navigation structure plays an  important role if I must say.

5. Inconsistent Blog Updates

It is necessary your develop a blogging system for your self. Maybe you can choose to post once a day, once in two days or whatever suits you. Stick to this and your users would know you for that. But if over a long period of time you don’t update your blog, sorry, you would definitely loose the traffic you’ve built over time. Try to develop a blogging pattern for yourself.

Conclusion

These are the various reasons a visitor will never return to your blog. The way to keeping your new visitors is to avoid all these mistakes mentioned above and you’ll never regret venturing into blogging.

I hope this helps.

Really great reasons you give here. I know one thing that completely turns me off from a website is random loud music that blasts from my speakers when I first land on the site. That really irks my nerves and is a surefire to loose me immediately as a visitor and ultimately a customer.

Thanks for sharing your insights on this subject with our bizsugar community.
