The Android 5.0 Lollipop was recently unvailed by Google at its I/O Developer Conference in June, which was as at then referred to as Android L. Since the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich in the late 2011, I would say this operating system is the most dire change to Android. The Android 5.0 Lollipop highlights a redesigned user interface which is referred to as Material Design, and also an improvement in the battery life span is included, as if that is not enought, improvements to the lock screen and notification menu are also included.

Probably the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 were the first two devices to run Android 5.0 Lollipop, which other device runs on this OS? Let’s see…
Android Devices That Run On The 5.0 Lollipop
Nexus:
It was announced by google that the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be updated to Android 5.0 in “the coming weeks.” The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 will be available in early November; probably updates are supposed to be expected around this time.
Google Play Edition:
Just like the Nexus devices, Google had also said that Google Play Edition devices will also run on this updated OS(Android 5.0) this week. Although no specific device was mentioned to run on this OS, and we believe that all their devices would go along.
Google Play Edition Current Devices Includes
Moto G and HTC One M8,
Google Play Edition Previous Devices Includes
Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One (M7), Sony Z Ultra and LG G Pad 8.3 on the Play store.

HTC:
In recent times HTC announced that it will begin rolling out an Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 worldwide “within 90 days of receiving final software from Google,” thereby we expect the update anytime before February 2015.
Samsung:
Not quite long samsung has had a poor track record with delivering timely updates, and here they don’t seem to have a say too, Samsung have not yet announced plans on which devices will see the update, hopefully the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 would be ran on this OS. But the question still remains, when will these devices get updated?
Motorola:
It was announced by Motorola that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be coming to various devices this year. Though rumour tells that Motorola plans to update both the first and second-generation Moto X and Moto G, along with the Moto G with 4G LTE, Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini.
LG:
It’s so sad that LG has not yet confirmed when or which devices will be receiving the Android 5.0 update. Probably with expectations LG would run this OS on the LG G3 and G2 Pro, and quite possibly the G2 and original G Pro.
Sony:
Just like LG Sony hasn’t revealed its update plans. From our expectations we expect Sony’s current lineup of devices, such as the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 V and Xperia Z3 compact, to see an update at some point.
Kyocera:
Kyocera is also in the group which have not yet announced a timeline for a Lollipop rollout. Though we don’t have a say on this.
We’ll keep you updated when any of this phone have a new say.
What is your say on this?
