What You Should Know Before You Start

In your account settings, Amazon Household allows you to share a few Prime benefits with another adult who is at least 18 years old, 2 teenagers who are between 13 to 17 years old, and a kid 12 years old and below.

These Prime benefits extend to the 2nd adult, with the advantages below:

  • Prime Shipping
  • Prime Now
  • AmazonFresh (if you register.)
  • Prime Video
  • Prime Reading
  • Amazon Photos
  • Amazon First Reads
  • Twitch Prime
  • Audible Channels
  • Up to 20 percent off diapers, baby food, and more, and 15 percent off the baby registry.

However, the 2nd adult will have no access to Prime Music, exclusive promotions on specific games available for pre-order, and bought video subscriptions.

Teenagers are more restricted to the Prime benefits they get. They are allowed access to:

  • Prime Shipping
  • Amazon Elements for Prime
  • Prime Video
  • Twitch Prime

Lastly, child profiles do not receive any Prime benefits. Rather, kids get FreeTime and FreeTime Unlimited on Fire tablets, Fire TV, Kindle devices, and Android devices.   1. Launch the Amazon application.
  2. Click the hamburger icon on the top left.
  3. Click Your Account.
  4. In “Account settings,” swipe down and click “Manage your household.”
  5. Click “Manage Your Household Members.”
  6. You can include a 2nd adult, 2 teenagers, and a child.

How To Share Amazon Prime With Your Family On Desktop

  1. Head to Amazon’s homepage.
  2. Hover over “Accounts & Lists” close the search bar.
  3. Below “Your Account,” tap Your Account.
  4.  In “Shopping programs and rentals,” tap Amazon Household.
  5. You will now be able to add a 2nd adult, two teenagers, and a child.
