So many more details of the iPhone 15 are being hinted at day by day.
The next iPhone is rumored to have an Action button and this report came from MacRumors on Wednesday, the fourth iOS17 developer beta hints at the Action button functionality on the iPhone 15 Pro and pro max models.
Apple users should be familiar with the Action button because it exists on the Apple Watch Ultra, and what it does is, it allows you to run a preselected function when activated.
The function of the Action button on the Apple Watch Ultra is to start a stopwatch or begin a workout without unlocking your device, so we’re just going to assume that’s the same function it’ll have on the phone as well.
But the report says the Action button on the iPhone 15 pro and Max could replace the Ring/Silent switch on the side of the iPhone, which will be more practical because some iPhone pouches are bulky, and the switch can be difficult to access.
This one Action button could have nine different functions and what each one will do is not clear since Apple hasn’t announced any of this themselves.
Hopefully, we get to hear the full details of the phone at the next iPhone event in September.
