The world’s largest social networking site Facebook from all indications seem to now acquire most of their features from ideas already existing in our micro blogging platform, Twitter.

Two years back, it was the issue of Facebook introducing the Follow button as a replacement to the subscriber button. Infact, they never stopped at that as Facebook introduced the hash tag feature, a unique feature peculiar to twitter and now it’s the trending topics again.

Facebook through her Engineering Manager, Chris, made this known to the public. You can now know what people are discussing more about on Facebook using the trending feature.

For now, the trending topics would be rolled out for some selected countries on the full site while the Facebook mobile version still awaits some further development. Until then, here is a screenshot of what the trending or popular topic feature looks like on PC.
