It’s no news that whenever most Nigerians think of getting webhosting and domain registering services, their attentions are all drawn to foreign companies like Bluehost, Godaddy and Arvixe. The fact they fail to realize is that there are a couple of reliable uprising yet affordable web hosting companies in Nigeria.

In this post, I’ll list out a couple of Web hosting companies owned and ran by Nigerians. One other reason you might want to employ their services is that they offer direct bank deposits unlike the foreign hosting sites where you need to give in your Credit Card details or use paypal in making purchases. The Direct Bank deposit option saves a bunch of stress especially for people in this part of the world who have not fully embraced the cashless system. These sites also have Card Payment options if they are preferred by you.

Below is the list you’ve been waiting for;

1. Syskay.com

This was actually the first webhosting company I started this blog on when I moved from blogger. Syskay offers a whole bunch of cheap and affordable web hosting plans with the least plan (Standard Plan) starting out at N6000. This plan gets you a 5GB disk space, 20GB bandwidth and a free domain name registration.

There were no downtime with them while I enjoyed there services not until their servers could no longer stand my traffic (I had to move my blog to arvixe in Dec 2012). I guess they must have put things in place now as I still use them for my clients with no complaints from them. Find out more from Syskay.com.

2.Globalhosting247.com

This is currently one of the most affordable and reliable web hosting companies in Nigeria. With as low as N900/year you can acquire a basic plan with 1GB disk space and 5GB Bandwidth + unlimited Mysql databases, unlimited FTP accounts and unlimited email accounts and even more features. On all accounts includes easy to use Website builders, software/script for installation of popular and widely used content management system (Joomla, wordpress, drupal, opencart, Forum scripts(PHPBB, Simple Machines Forum(SMF) and More), OS Commerce Shopping Cart, Zen Cart, Magento, shopsite, Social Networking Scripts, Project Management Scripts, Image Galleries scripts, and lots more).

Their website builder would easily guide you in building your own professional website without any coding or stress. You can visit Globalhosting247.com for more. I decided to grab a screenshot of their exclusive cheap plans below.

4. Utiware

They’ve been there for a while now with a good reputation in the webhosting Nigerian scene. Their starter plan begins at N3500/year wit 1GB and 2GB disk space and monthly bandwith respectively. As you would expect, they offer PHP and MySQL on their Windows server. You can visit Utiware.com for more details.

    Choosing a web host who is near you enables you to get good customer support and offers that are not awarded to international clients. Thank you for providing a comprehensive review of Nigerian web hosting services

    I Strongly Recommend Orwebhost.com for hosting web project, because they have saved me a lot of embarassment due to programming and configuration mishaps. If you have ever had your SSL certificate go ballistic on you or something like that, you’ll know what I mean.

    The best I can do to appreciate what they’ve done for me is to recommend them. Orwebhost.com is run by very experienced passionate web developers. Their prices are moderate with plans as low as N3,000/yr and all their plans come with free domain name registration. You can even get free SSL certificate.

    Hello, thanks for the honest review. Nigerian hosting companies are really impressive. They can now boast of 99.9% server uptime and it keeps getting better.

    However, I believe that orwebhost.com is the best in terms of customer service. They take care of every issue like their future depends on it. You may want to access them and add them to your list.
