The Infinix S3 X is yet another super android device, an upgrade to the newly announced Infinix s3 smartphone, which is the first Infinix device to run on a Snapdragon processor.
This time, Infinix seems to have decided to join the notch craze. With every brand trying to implement the notch on their displays all in a bid to achieve an “all screen/bezeless” front design, it now seems to be a thing of style and obviously, the Infinix brand thinks it’s the right time to embrace that trend and implement the design on their smartphone newest mid-range entrant, the Infinix S3X.
The s3X was announced on the 13th of August 2018 and not only does it feature the notch, it also has a twin rear camera setup.

Design
Obviously, the notch is the main theme we can feel while handling this device. More so, there is this gloss finish also to the sleek design on the Infinix S3X which makes it one of the most appealing devices to have from this brand in 2018.
The S3X would come in 3 colour variants, viz; black, gray and blue.
Camera
With the dual camera setup we get to see at the rear of the Infinix S3X, it is no doubt that this device has been made for quality picture taking and would feature the bokeh mode which most people have learned to love as seen on most major flagship devices. The dual rear cameras are 13MP and 2MP.
You also get an LED flash at the rear camera setup for those clear late night photos.
Taking a look at the front-facing selfie camera, you realize that Infinix had those selfie-taking fans at the back of their mind while designing the Infinix S3X. With a 16MP selfie camera, you are sure for quality and crisp photos of yourself.
Performance
Performance on the Infinix S3X wouldn’t be the best in the world, considering it has an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset. Coupled with a 3 or 4GB RAM, depending on which variant you get, you are sure for a smooth operational smartphone when you consider the basic tasks most users would take the device through.
You are greeted with Android 8.1 Oreo straight out of the box, so you get to enjoy the features on this wonderful Android OS.
The device also rocks a 32GB internal memory which is usually more than enough for most smartphone users. If that’s not exactly what you can go with, then you can expand the memory with a Micro SDCard up to 128GB.
Battery
Talkin about what powers this device, you get a 4000mAH battery coupled in. That is pretty much a nice benchmark for nice battery rating on a device these days. It would be able to pull you through an average day’s usage.
Say you are an overkill user, you still are covered with the provision of the usual Infinix X-charge feature, which is nothing but a sort of fast charge technology to quickly refill your smartphone’s juice.
Price
Update: The official price of the Infinix S3X has been announced for N63,000 which is roughly $175.
Though we do not have an official price (since the device was just launched and isn’t yet in the market) for the Infinix S3X as at the time of this post, from the features it packs, we can deduce that this device would be sold for around $150 with should be about the neighbourhood of N55,000 in Nigeria.
Verdict
If you want a nicely designed and awesome looking mid-range device that will carry you through a day’s use while not sacrificing an average user’s smartphone experience, then the Infinix S3X is one smartphone to take a look at. You get premium features such as the dual camera setup, fingerprint and Face Unlock features and most of all, that notch with its polarizing effect.
