Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Review – Specs, Features and Price

Xiaomi is finally out with its much anticipated and rumored flagship smartphone the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. This smartphone is a mid-range device which was announced in January 2019 by the Smartphone giant.

The smartphone arrives with a jumbo size 6.3-inch FHD+ display, and lots of other great and amazing specifications like the recent Snapdragon 660, powerful 6GB RAM, sharp cameras and a host of other great features that will be mentioned in the course of this review. Design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 sports a whopping jumbo size 6.3-inch Full HD screen. The screen has a 19:5:9 2.5D curved glass display and a waterdrop notch display with 1.95mm bezels and a 2.5D glass. The glass is for protection, and it covers both the front and back of this smartphone.

When it comes to switching apps smartly and multi-tasking, this smartphone comes in two various storage options and three versions for the RAM. The first storage option which is the lower version is the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and the bigger releases that is 4GB / 6GB RAM with a 64GB internal storage.

Most people may not be comfortable with this storage options, but there is no need to worry because the storage of this smartphone can be further expanded up to 256GB with the use of an external microSD card.

Battery

Back to one of the areas to put into consideration when choosing a smartphone, the battery. The Redmi Note 7 houses a powerful 4,000mAh battery. The battery features the Quick Charge 4, 5V/2A charger and USB-C port.

Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun, clearly stated that the Redmi Note 7 would enable 9V/2A charging option which is capable of providing users with 100% battery life in 1 hour 43 minutes. The battery can also offer 251 hours of standby time, 13 hours of video playback, 23 hours of talk time and 7 hours of gaming.

The 4GB RAM / 64GB storage configuration is sold for 1198 yuan (US$ 177 / ? 12,461 approx.). Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 wasn’t bad at all when my team and I had to go through this smartphone. The device was able to offer excellent performance, and we hardly recorded any lag during the time of use.

So, if what you want in a smartphone are a long-lasting battery and great cameras, then you should consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.
