Unlike the standard variant 3S prime rocks a fingerprint sensor, it is surprisingly 0.9mm thinner than Redmi 2 and sits comfortably in your hand.  It has a full metal unibody design with a slightly curved back makes Redmi 3S Prime the perfect fit for one hand operation. If you miss the good old days of Apple iPhone 5/5S, then you will love the Redmi 3S prime.

Redmi 3S has a 12.6cm (5) fully laminated display packed with pixels for HD resolution. It also has a Reading mode, which prevents eye fatigue by reducing blue light rays from the screen. Color temperature can also be adjusted based on your preference.

The standard version of the device – the Redmi 3S does not include the finger print sensor. Redmi 3S has a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage as compared to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and it is expandable to 128GB via a Micro SDcard offered by Redmi 3S Prime. Besides RAM, internal storage and fingerprint sensor, the other specifications have no difference in them.  The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is powered by 1.1GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is a dual SIM  smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. It connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB OTG, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in a specific country). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime comes with a 13MP rear camera is fast and responsive and is capable to deliver decent shots when the lighting is adequate, with f/2.0 aperture,  (phase detection autofocus), HDR mode and 1080p video recording. The front of the smartphone sports a 5MP camera with 1080p video recording capability.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is light on the pocket. The smartphone looks premium, lasts longer than its rivals, clicks decent images and doesn’t compromise on performance. I think the camera would have been better in this device, but in any other aspect like build up, the battery is perfect for the device.
