There was an urgent need to update Apple devices yesterday, Monday. Apple released an urgent security update yesterday, 10th July for all iOS 16 devices, and users were advised to update them as soon as possible.
It’s not uncommon for Apple to release system updates to fix bugs but this was an urgent fix to avoid vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers trying to trick users into opening websites that contain harmful data.
The update was for iOS 16.5.1, iPadOS 16.5.1, and macOS Ventura 13.4.1.
This update, unfortunately, broke some websites and apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Zoom, and a few others after installation that threw an “unsupported Browser” error on Safari. After this Apple cancelled the security update request.
