While I was busy thinking of a topic to write about, I decided to checkup my pending blog comments, login to my social media sites and read a couple of blogs to get post ideas. But my plans were all dashed when I discovered I couldn’t gain access to the internet for some reasons.
Wait a sec! I was already getting bored not knowing what to do next and then it struck me. What can I actually do without an Internet connection? You would for sure agree with me that lots of teenagers and youths find themselves in exact same situations daily and wonder what next they could do if they don’t have an internet connection to access Facebook, make their tweets or message their buddies via Whatsapp.
1. Read A Book
Believe it or leave it, everything you read fills your head with new information. If you find yourself in a situation where there is no internet connection, then the first thing you need do is pick up a good book and start off reading through it. Reading helps improve your verbal abilities, improves concentration, reduces stress, improves memory and most of all makes one smarter.
2. Play Offline Video Games
All work and no play they say, makes Jack a dull boy. Just like reading books, playing video games helps in improving one’s imagination scope, it helps in building memory and most of reduces stress as it’s something done for fun. Most computers come with pre-installed games you might want to lay your hands on when you have no internet connection.
3. Watch TV
Still wondering what you can do now? It’s time to go watch some movies or watch the evening national news. There might be a bright idea lurking by the corner and waiting for you to grab it. This idea could transform you into the next big thing, who knows?

4. Get Creative
What most people don’t realize is that a majority of youths get more creative when they concentrate, and not having an internet connection is one great step in forcing youths into their highest concentration level on whatever they are doing. Think of it this way, a person without an internet connection, won’t get distracted by Pings when doing a creative writeup or Photoshop design. Thus the elimination of the internet could bring the most creative part of a person to limelight. Why not seize this opportunity to get creative at something.
5. Listen To Some Music
Who says you music is for the crazy? According to researches conducted by several groups of researchers on music, it has been discovered that music improve ones health in several ways. For instance, listening to music during exercise can give you a better workout in several ways. Listening to music has also been connected to helping people sleep better. So if you are off the net and don’t seem to get any of the above things to work for you, then you should listen to some good music.
I hope you find this post interesting. Feel free to share what you do when you are out of the internet lifestyle. I’ll love to hear from you.
