Currently, it does not allow users to text or call unsaved contacts, forcing users to save unknown phone numbers to start a discussion on the messaging app. But that’s about to change, as the Meta-owned platform is launching a new feature that will make it easier for users to communicate contacts that haven’t been saved.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform has already begun distributing the new Android beta update, which takes the app’s version to 2.22.8.11. By hitting on the chat bubble symbol in the information section, users will be able to text an unsaved number, which will offer a few alternatives, including texting. According to a screenshot circulating on the Internet, the Meta-owned instant messaging app will present Android users with alternatives. Once you tap on the phone number, if it’s available on WhatsApp, the app will show you the option to begin a chat with the contact without saving the number on your phone.

Whatsapp is rolling out a range of changes to its voice notes functionalities. Audio notes were first introduced to the app in 2013, and on average, seven billion voice messages are transmitted every day. Instead of typing out a message on the keyboard, users can share short audio clips.
“Voice messages have made it quick and easy for individuals to have more expressive discussions,” WhatsApp wrote in a blog post. Voice is more natural than text for expressing emotion or excitement. In many cases, audio messages on WhatsApp are the preferred method of communication.”

One of the new features is playing messages outside of a chat window. Users will be able to start listening to a voice message in one conversation and then depart to message someone else while the voice message continues to play in the background. Users can multitask or read and respond to other notifications instead of being trapped in a discussion until the audio note is finished.
The company aims to give users what they want; that’s why WhatsApp is now launching many new amazing features. This step will result in more services that let users participate in their product more effectively.
