As a web designer, you often find yourself in need of scripts, codes, images and lots of other tools that would help facilitate your design process. Well, there are couple of websites I have really found useful in the past and of course would come in quite handy if you wish to lead a better and faster web design career.
This list is in no particular order as I find all these websites useful in their unique ways respectively.
Learning Web Design
This is yet another great tutorial website for web developers. I usually would recommend this site to advanced designers as the have tutorials beyond the basics that obviously would spice up your designs.
This is the largest coding community on the web as much as I know. Down here, there are virtually answers from different approaches to any web design question you might ask. It is also advisable you search through this site before asking any question as it could have been answered somewhere on the site already.
Perfect place to be if you need to get codes or scripts shared by other hardworking developers who want to make web designing as easy as abc for fellow web developers. It has proven to be a great resource for scripts to a handful of web designers.
When it comes to getting free photos for my web designs, I usually resort to this resource. I got the image above, used in this post from this site and only had to add the text you see there. All images found on StockSnap fall under Creative Commons CC0 license. That means you can copy, modify, distribute any photo on the site, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission!
7. CSS Tricks
I’m quite a huge fan of this site as there are a bunch of tuturials on web design and CSS in particular as the name implies. You definitely need to stick around this site if you want to end up wowing visitors to any webpage.
Other websites worth mentioning include Laravel, W3C, DZone, Sitepoint, CSS Zen Garden, Youtube and a host of others.
