GTBank Branches in Port Harcourt: Addresses by Area

Every GTBank address in Port Harcourt, Bonny and Onne in the bank's own wording, with opening hours, e-branches and the GTConnect numbers to call first.

GTBank has 12 branches in Rivers State: 11 in Port Harcourt and one on Bonny Island. Its branch list adds two smaller outlets, at Onne and in the NLNG Residential Area, and three self-service e-branches in Port Harcourt.

The addresses below are GTBank’s own, copied from its branch pages in its spelling, typing slips included. The third column is ours: the part of town, with a landmark where GTBank or a map listing gives one.

Telling the branches apart

Trans Amadi. There are two branches on the industrial layout, PH 1 at number 44 and PH 7 at Plot 23. Check which one you need before you set out.

Aba Road. PH 2 is the one people call the GRA junction branch. GTBank’s help account on X has itself referred to it as “GRA junction, TOMBIA street”. PH 3 is a different branch on the same road: an older GTBank branch list gives it as 215 Aba Road, opposite the Shell Residential Area.

Ikwerre Road. PH 6 and PH 9 are both at Mile 4. PH 9 has no street number: the address is the Agip (NAOC) base at Rumueme.

East West Road. GTBank’s page says only “11, East West Road”. An older GTBank branch list and the Nigeria Galleria directory both place it at Rumuodomaya.

Bonny. The older GTBank list and the Finelib directory give the address as 34 New Road, not King Perekule Road. If the two names confuse a driver, ask GTConnect which landmark to use.

Smaller outlets and e-branches

Outlet Address Part of town or landmark
Onne Dangote Depot Intel Onne Onne
Nlng GTBank Cash Centre Shopping Complex NLNG Residential Area Bonny Island
Shell Ra Port Harcourt Ebranch Shell Residential Area, Aba Expressway Rumukoroshe, Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt Aba Road, at the Shell Residential Area
Genesis Port Harcourt Ebranch Plot 45 Genesis E-branch Trans Amadi, Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt Trans Amadi
Aba Road PH eBranch (Happy Bite) Happy Bite Plaza, Opposite Air force base, Aba Road, Port Harcourt Aba Road, opposite the Air Force base

GTBank describes an e-branch as a self-service electronic branch that handles over 65% of what would otherwise need a banking hall. For the rest, go to a full branch.

Its e-Branches page names two in Port Harcourt, Shell RA and Genesis. The Happy Bite one has its own page in the branch list, with weekday hours, but it is missing from the e-Branches page. Confirm it with GTConnect before you rely on it.

The Onne and NLNG pages give no street number. GTBank files both under Port Harcourt, though NLNG’s residential area is on Bonny Island and Onne is a port town of its own.

Opening hours

GTBank’s branch pages give the same hours for every Port Harcourt branch: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, closed on Saturday and Sunday. None of them shows Saturday opening. The Happy Bite e-branch is listed with the same hours.

The Bonny page is the odd one. It shows Saturday closed and Sunday open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, which reads like a slip in the listing. Ring before you count on a Sunday visit.

The Secretariat page has Thursday closing at 4:00am, which we take to be a typing slip and not a night shift. The pages for Onne, NLNG and the Shell RA and Genesis e-branches show no hours at all.

Before you travel

Branches move and close, and a list like this one goes stale. Three checks take a few minutes.

  1. GTBank’s branch list. On GTBank’s All Branches list, each name opens a page with the address, the hours, a map and a Get Directions link.
  2. The locator. GTBank’s branch locator has a Use Current Location button, which is the quickest answer to “which one is near me”.
  3. GTConnect. GTBank says its phone line gives branch and ATM locations and runs 24 hours a day, weekends and public holidays included. If you have no GTConnect login, it says to press 2 and then 0 to reach a customer service representative.

Ask first about any outlet that sits on someone else’s premises: the State Secretariat branch, the branch at the Agip base, the Shell RA e-branch, the NLNG cash centre and the Onne outlet at the Dangote depot. GTBank’s pages do not say how a visitor gets in.

Ramps and ATM galleries

A second GTBank page, a table of branches by state, marks which ones have a ramp, an ATM gallery and Braille. For Rivers State it shows:

  • Ramp: Aba Road PH 2, Ikwerre Road PH 6, Industrial Layout PH 7, NTA Road PH 8, Woji and Bonny Island.
  • ATM gallery: Aba Road PH 2 and Shell RA PH 3.
  • Braille: Aba Road PH 2 only.

If you use a wheelchair or have low vision, Aba Road PH 2 is the branch to pick. It is the only one in the state marked for all three.

These are the details on GTBank’s contact page and its complaints page. GTBank’s branch pages give no phone number for any single Port Harcourt branch, so GTConnect is the way to reach one.

GTExpress points are not branches

GTBank’s GTExpress page lists six agent points at Forte Oil filling stations in Port Harcourt: Aggrey Road, Lorry Park, Moscow Road, Mile 5, Rumubekwe and Eliozu Road. GTBank describes GTExpress as agent banking, with account opening, ATM deposits and withdrawals, and bill payments.

The page gives no street numbers, and none of the six is a branch. Older lists got this wrong, and ours once had the Mile 5 one down as a branch.

Quick answers

How many GTBank branches are in Port Harcourt?

There are 11, plus one on Bonny Island. That makes 12 in Rivers State, out of 230 in GTBank’s table of branches by state. The two smaller outlets and three e-branches come on top.

Where is the GTBank at GRA junction, Port Harcourt?

GTBank calls it Aba Road – PH 2. The address is Plot 279A, Tombia Street, off Aba Road, Port Harcourt.

Which GTBank branch is near me in Port Harcourt?

The first table is grouped by part of town, so start with the third column. On a phone, the Use Current Location button on GTBank’s branch locator is quicker.

Does GTBank open on Saturday in Port Harcourt?

No branch page shows it. Every Port Harcourt branch is listed as Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. GTConnect is the weekend option, since GTBank says it answers at any hour.

What is the sort code for a GTBank branch in Port Harcourt?

Each branch has its own code, and we do not list them because we found no current GTBank list to check them against. Read yours from the numbers printed along the bottom of your cheque leaf, or ask the branch that holds your account.
