On Thursday through a press release by the CEO Pete Lau, Oppo revealed its plans to launch its first flagship foldable phone, the Oppo Find N. The Chinese Smartphone Company has reportedly been preparing for this release for four years.
Lau revealed that the first prototype was created in April 2018 however the company has delayed its release to create a Smartphone that can be regarded as a creative solution to the present standstill in the Smartphone industry.
Lau stated that to overcome the barriers that are preventing the breakthrough of already released foldable smartphones such as utility, durability, and user experience, Oppo decided to take its take to create a Smartphone to ensure a better user experience.
In his letter, Lau further revealed that during the creation of Find N, Oppo followed two major principles, one being to make a device that’s beautiful, simple, and comfortable for users.

The second principle is to create a device that offers a nicely balanced user experience, meaning that, it is both useful and easy to use.
With the Find N, Lau believes that Oppo has already solved the main pain points in previous foldable smartphones, such as the crease in the display and overall durability of the device, by inventing perhaps the best hinge and display designs available today.
Oppo has already released a teaser video on its YouTube channel and it is expected that the launch will take place on December 15 the second day of OPPO INNO Day.
