We all known that Huawei is one of the big mobile manufacturers in the Chinese and global smartphone sphere, therefore don’t expect any product bearing their logo to be mediocre. The newly released Huawei Nova 4 doesn’t deviate from the Norm. It offers premium features for a considerable price.
We are talking about the Huawei nova 4 that comes with a host of out amazing features that puts this device ahead of its competitors. Previously, the predecessor to the Huawei nova 4 had a notch which was used to house the sensors and camera. The new smartphone creatively handles the notch issues. Huawei embedded the front camera in a punch-hole and it’s truly amazing.
The Huawei nova 4 was announced and released in December 2018. Come along with me let’s see more of the amazing features that this smartphone comes in with.
Design
We know that Huawei almost never disappoints when it comes to the design of their smartphones. The Nova 4 has a slim (7.7 mm) nature and has less weight (172 grams). This device comes in four different color configurations (Blue, Black, Pearl white, and Bright Red) all coated in a special nano-texture layer making it reflective when it comes close to light.
The Nova 4 arrives with a 6.4-inch display with FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels and 398 PPI pixel density of all resulting to an aspect ratio of 19.25:9. The predecessor, the Nova 3, has a longer screen aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
The Nova 4 screen occupies 94% of the front’s area with the selfie camera placed in a circular punch-hole and the tiny earpiece still sited at the top edge of the display. On the right-hand of this device is seated the power button and the volume rockers. There is a triple camera set up at the back at the top-left corner. The cameras have a LED flash for brighter images in low light conditions.
Camera
The Huawei Nova 4 arrives with one selfie camera and three camera sensors at the back. The Nova 4 comes in two different camera configurations and the camera different only affects the primary cameras.
The base version sports a 20MP f/1.8 primary, a 16MP f/2.2 secondary, and an additional 2MP f/2.4 tertiary camera sensor. Meanwhile, the upgraded version has a 48MP, 16MP, and an additional 2MP camera sensor configuration and it retains the same aperture as the base version. The Huawei Nova 4 is the first smartphone to ever feature up to a 48MP camera.
Performance
The Huawei Nova 4 is powered by the Kirin 970 chipset coupled with the Mali-G72 GPU (with Huawei’s GPU Turbo) and an amazing 8GB RAM which I think is going to be enough to produce a nice performance either for heavy tasks like playing graphic-intensive games or during light usage like multitasking.
The 8GB RAM is supported by a massive built-in 128GB internal storage which the users are stocked with. What I mean is that the smartphone does not support external SD card for storage expansion.
The Huawei Nova 4 runs on the Android Pie 9.0 out-of-the-box. And unlike the UMIDIGI F1, Pixel 3 or the Pixel 3 XL that runs on the OS that is unadulterated, pure and stock form, but the Nova 4 Android Pie will be attached with Huawei’s EMUI 9.0.1 UI.
Battery
Guess who is running the Nova 4 power show, it’s a 3,750mAh Lithium-Ion battery. The battery is so powerful enough to ensure you don’t have to get worried about charging the device the whole day.
Her is one of the best features that I love in the Huawei Nova 4, is the 18W fast charging that it supports.
Other Features
- FM ~ No,
- 3.5mm Jack ~ Yes,
- Expandable storage ~ No.
- Triple Cameras ~ Yes.
