Streaming your favorite console games is about to be made easier as Discord announces it is rolling out stream to Discord for Xbox which allows you to stream directly from your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One.
This would be the first time a console will be streaming directly to Discord; over the years it has only been available for PC and mobile gamers.
Last year there was an update on Xbox that allowed gamers to connect directly to Discord Voice channels, beating PlayStation, its competitor, to receive new updates from Discord first.
If you haven’t connected your Xbox to Discord yet, this is a little step on how to connect it.
How To Connect Your Xbox to Discord
- Connect Xbox to Discord in the Connection menu on your desktop or mobile app.
- Click the Xbox logo.
- Sign into your Microsoft account.
- stream from a voice channel by opening the Parties & Chats tab on your Xbox.
- Choose Discord.
- Pick the channel you want to join.
- Click ” Stream your game” to start broadcasting your game.
Stream to Discord from Xbox is available in one-on-one or group DMs, all you have to do is click “transfer to Xbox” while you’re on the call. You can also choose to stream your game to your friends, just like in a channel. Streams appear in HD and 1080p for Nitro subscribers.
Stream to Discord is now available for Xbox Insider and will be rolling out pretty soon to all Xbox players. The Xbox Insider Hub app is available for everyone to download through the Xbox store.
