During Google’s fall Pixel event held on October 19, 2021, the company showcased the new Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro smartphones, which featured upgraded cameras and a brand new chip.

Pixel 6 vs Pixel 6 Pro
The Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro are both equipped with new features and have similar prices. In the US, the pricing of the Pixel 6 starts at $599 and the Pixel 6 Pro at $899.
The screen of the Pixel 6 is equipped with a high-refresh-rate display that can turn from 90 to 120 Hz. The screen of the Pro is equipped with a larger, more powerful display that can handle up to 120 Hz.
The Pixel’s horizontal camera bump strip is its defining physical feature. In order to celebrate the camera system, Google wanted to create a unique camera bump that’s built into the phone.
Tensor Processor
With Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google introduced its very first custom-made chip, the Tensor processor. The processor was specifically built for Pixel and according to Google, it performs 80% faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon, the company used for its previous models. Tensor integrates an eight-core Arm mali G78 mp20 GPU.

It also includes a unit machine learning engine, an advanced image signal processor for photography, a security core, and other nice features. It is built on a 5-nanometer manufacturing node. Tensor enables faster speech recognition and image processing.
Camera
The Pixel 6 comes with a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The 6 Pro comes with three rear cameras; a 50MP main camera,

a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto camera with a 4x optical zoom. We are expecting brighter and sharper images from both models.
Android 12
As expected, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro run the all-new Android 12. Android 12 is Google’s biggest OS update to date and it is expected to offer much more customization, for example, themes, color palettes, etc.

Android 12 will feature key upgrades like scrollable screenshots, advanced privacy controls, upgraded notifications among others.
5G and Battery
Both models support 5G. The Pixel 6 comes with a 4,614 mAH battery and a 30-watt USB fast charging. While the 6 Pro comes with a 5,003mAH battery. However, chargers are sold separately.
