1. Watch Movies

The brains behind the James Bond franchise have rightly decided that now is No Time To Die, so all plans for the latest 007 movies have been pushed forward. Other movie releases are getting postponed as well since cinemas have been shitting down to curb the spread of the virus.

However, there are still lots of films to watch on streaming services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix and Now TV. From romantic comedies to action blockbusters, to family movies, you will have access to several materials and you just have to decide on one. If you want a pandemic movie, decent options include Outbreak (1995, below), Contagion (2011), The Andromeda Strain (1971), The Cassandra Crossing (1976) and Carriers (2009).

2. Read Books

For those that love to read but had limited time to do just that when the world was virus-free, this is the time to see what that book is all about. Stay away from post-apocalyptic novels though so you don’t scare yourself. Simple-to-read books or audiobooks are perfect for this period. By the time you are done reading, the storm might be completely over and we can all go back to our former lives.

3. Listen To Music

Coronavirus might be affecting music with singers like Madonna and The Who canceling their tours, but it cannot stop you from jamming that music on your phone. Your Spotify playlist could prove useful at this point or you can listen to other people’s playlists to get inspired.

Live-stream concerts are gaining popularity too so you might want to join in the fun. Songs that connect with this period are “It’s The End of The World As We Know It” by R.E.M, Skyfall by Adele and Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.

4. Watch TV

I always say it is best to avoid excessive daytime TV. Power off your television after you’ve watched your favorite programme so you do not get addicted. Plan your viewing schedule very well and you will be just fine. Your television can also keep you updated about the latest updates on the virus, you just have to be watching the right channel.

5. Start Cleaning

This is also the time to clean the house to the best of your ability. Sophie Hinch, who is an Instagram celebrity, an ex hairdresser currently has a following of 1.7million cleaning fans who refer to themselves as #HinchArmy, which is exactly what is required in this battle vs germs. The fact that cleaning is also important to keep your homes free of the virus means you will be killing 2 birds with one stone.

6. Do Some Exercise

Exercises are important even without the compulsory isolation, therefore, use this opportunity to stay in shape since boredom can make you start eating more. There are easy cardio exercise routines out there that you can read up on to start reaping the benefits of working out. You can also add 2 water bottles and use them as free weights for arm curls and overhead presses.

Playing games online, for instance, playing online slots of which there are how to play online slot tutorials to guide you through the process online, are some of the effective ways to spend your time.

If we cannot socialize physically, we can keep up our social interactions via video games with friends online right? Well, that sounds like a plan. And to make things super easy for us all, no one is left out as complete beginners and veteran gamers can have fun with it. It also does not matter if you own an ancient laptop or the latest iPhone, there is something interesting for everyone.

Amazing game to occupy yourself with are Minecraft, Fortnite: Battle Royale, Sea of Thieves, Friday 13th, GTA Online and so on.
