Infinix Hot 6 Review – Specs, Features and Price

We are yet to finish celebrating the Infinix Hot S3, which is still enjoying growing fame and here we are with another wonderful smartphone from Infinix. The newly launched device is called the Infinix Hot 6 and it arrives with lots of amazing specs.


The Infinix Hot 6 will be launched in May 2018, and this is the first time Infinix will be running on the Android Go, which is optimized to smoothly run on entry-level and low-end phones with low RAM (512MB~1GB).


When I  first saw the Infinix Hot 6 I fell in love with its design. This smartphone features a beautiful and ergonomic design. The sides and back of the Infinix Hot 6 are made of plastic and while the front is covered in glass. Still looking at the front of this device, you will see the notification LED, the earpiece, proximity sensor, selfie camera, and a LED flash all horizontally arranged.

While the top of this device is empty, the left side arrives with a SIM tray & an SD card. On the right-hand side, you will see the volume rocker and power button. The microphone, headphone jack, USB port, and speaker grills are tactically fixed at the bottom of this device.

When you turn to the back of this device, you will see the dual primary cameras with a LED flash positioned at the top left side. There is also a fingerprint sensor positioned at the middle & the company’s logo placed below.

The Infinix Hot 6 comes equipped with a huge 6-inch screen which is convenient for watching movies & gaming. The display has an 18:9 screen to body aspect ratio.

In the box, you will find the smartphone, power adapter, earphones, Screen Protector, customer Service Card & Pin. Infinix Hot 6 also comes in different color varieties like the Sandstone Black, Magic Gold, Bordeaux Red, City Blue.


Here is another interesting part that the majority of the ladies enjoy the most, the camera section. With Infinix Hot 6 back camera, you are sure to enjoy twice the fun with its dual 13MP + 2MP shooter with a f/2.0 aperture.

The 2MP camera help in doing portrait modes and focusing. The Infinix Hot 6 is also capable of recording videos of 1080p at 30fps. Coming to the front side of this device, you will find the 5MP selfie camera that is sure to offer stunning selfies.


The Infinix Hot 6 houses the Snapdragon 425 chip from Qualcomm and uses the Quad-core processor and a 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-core processor inside the Hot 6 clocks at 1.4GHz with 28nm process technology. Also, the Adreno 308 takes care of the graphics.

The Infinix Hot 6 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with XOS 3.0 Hummingbird and comes equipped with a 2GB RAM available for multitasking just like we have in Hot 5. The 2GB RAM in the Hot 6 also comes with a memory speed of 667MHz. The Infinix Hot 6 has an internal storage of 16GB for accommodating all apps and files. The memory can still be upgraded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.


The Infinix Hot 6 has been praised for its huge battery life. This device comes in with a massive 4000mAh battery which can still get you through the day even with a heavy usage. The Infinix Hot 6 doesn’t feature any fast-charging technology. It takes around 3 hours to get this device fully charged.

The smartphone also comes with a battery saver toggle feature which can be found in the battery settings.

Infinix Hot 6 Price

The Infinix Hot 6 arrives with a price tag of about 124 USD, which is 45,000 in Nigerian currency. You can buy this smartphone from some online stores or any authorized Infinix distributor near your region.


I really don’t know what your budget and needs are in a smartphone. But, if you are the type of person that engages in minor activities like social media surfing, picture taking, and others, you need the Hot 6. Meanwhile, if you are the heavy user that engages in heavy gaming and use apps that require more space, go for the Hot 6 pro.
