Snapdragon 888 processor, 120Hz OLED display, triple camera setup, stereo speakers, and 60watts fast charging, looking at these amazing specs, it is not overrated to say that the Realme GT 5G is a powerhouse performance smartphone.
Unboxing
Inside the box, you have the Realme GT 5G itself, 65Watts adapter, USB type C cable, sim ejector tool and a phone case.
Design and Display
The Realme GT 5G comes in several colors like black, blue, silver, and yellow-colored faux leather. It has a standard, basic-like design. There is nothing outstanding, there is a headphone jack and USB port at the bottom, volume buttons and a dual sim tray on the left side, and power buttons on the right side.
The device has a 6.43 inch OLED screen, a standard size; it is also slim and light and can be handled easily with one hand.

The Realme GT 5G has a 120Hz refresh rate, a full HD resolution (1080 x 2400), and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The device also features an amazing 360Hz touch sampling rate, meaning that everything is just one light touch away.
The refresh rate is automatically set to 90Hz and can be switched to 120Hz in the settings. There is also the fingerprint scanner and the face unlock tool which performs really fast.
The Realme GT 5G sadly lacks an IP rating. Meaning that the device is in no way water-resistant; considering that the device is marketed as a high-end performer, it is really unfortunate that it misses the needed IP rating.
Software and Performance
The Realme GT 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and has Android 11 pre-installed. The user interface is covered by the realm UI 2.0. With a powerful as the Snapdragon 888, the device holds its forte in terms of speed and multitasking.
The gaming experience is amazing as the device easily maintains high performance even when games are set at the highest possible setting. However, the device tends to get a bit warm with long heavy usage.

Just as the 5G in the name implies, the Realme GT 5G has an inbuilt 5G modem that masters all current standards. Other features include Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2. There is no SD card slot so; memory cannot be expanded through a microSD card.
The Realme GT 5G comes in two memory configurations, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Camera
The Realme GT 5G has a triple camera setup and a single front-facing camera. The main camera is 64 megapixels and has phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). The 8MP ultrawide angle camera is also a 2MP macro camera and a 16MP selfie camera.
Battery
The Realme GT 5G comes with a 4,500 mAh battery capacity which lasts for about 2 days with casual usage and a little over a day with heavy usage. The device also has an impressive 60watts fast charging.

The device goes from zero to 100% in about 30 mins which is really incredible. With Realme GT 5G, battery power is not a problem at all.
Verdict
I have mixed feelings about this device. The pros look really impressive and the cons are heartbreaking. The performance is great, the battery capacity is somewhat impressive and the 60watts charging is just incredible but it is not water-resistant at all and the camera quality could be better.
However, I believe that the Realme GT 5G is still a nice phone to buy.
