The latest update comes with a lot of brand-new features for both Android and iOS. They include; Reactions which is also available in Facebook Messenger, Message Translations, Themed QR codes, New Menus for macOS and more Interactive Emojis.
Reactions
To use reactions, either on iOS or on an Android device, double-tapping a message sends a quick thumbs-up reaction. To choose from a wider range of emojis on iOS, you have to press and hold for the reaction emoji picker, and tap once on Android. You can change the default double-tap reaction to another emoji in Settings.

While reactions are always on in private chats, in groups and channels it’s up to admins to decide whether they get turned on or not and they also decide on which reaction emoji are available in the chat.
Admins can control reactions via their group or channel’s Info Page > Edit > Reactions.
Message Translation
Another feature revealed by Telegram is an in-app translation feature that allows users to translate any message into another language in the app. You can enable the feature by navigating to Settings > Language.

You can also exclude any languages you speak and there’s a translate button for messages sent in languages you do not read. The feature is available on all Android devices that support Telegram, while iPhone owners will need to make sure they have updated to iOS 15 to use the feature.
Themed QR Codes
In addition to the already supported QR codes, but the service is now adding support for ‘themeable’ QR codes that can be generated for any user that has a public username. Users can also generate a QR code for their personal username can be obtained in Settings.

QR codes can also be generated for groups, channels, and even bots while customizing a QR code with different colors. These can then be shared with other apps, or printed and emailed.
To generate a QR code, tap the new QR code icon next to the username of a person or from a chat’s info page, choose the colors and pattern that fit best, then print, post or share your QR code to other apps.
Spoiler Formatting
Telegram now allows users to hide the content of their messages if they contain any spoilers. You can choose to hide specific parts of your messages, which others can tap to reveal. The feature can come in handy when discussing recently released movies, sensitive topics and the hidden part of the message can work as trigger warnings for users.
Finally, Telegram has also redesigned all the context menus in Telegram for macOS and introduced some new shortcut hints and beautifully animated icons for every single menu item in the app. The app has also made available, more interactive emojis.
