Non-Technical skills you can learn in tech: Tech is one of the few growing bright spots in the job market, so it’s understandable that many people want to learn how to get a job at a tech startup.
I’ve had a lot of conversations with people trying to break into the market who aren’t technical, didn’t grow up learning how to code, didn’t get a computer science degree, and can’t write a single line of code. Because I taught myself to code, many of the conversations begin with “Should I learn to code?” Working as a developer is not for everyone.
So, how do you get into technology if you don’t want to write code?
There are different non-technical roles you can go into that don’t need code.
1. Product Marketing
Product marketing is the process of introducing a product to the market, developing marketing strategies, and finding ways to sell it to customers. Product marketing necessitates an understanding of the product’s target market as well as the use of strategic messaging to increase a company’s revenue and a product’s demand.
A Product Manager is concerned with the strategic methods by which products are adopted and gain relevance among existing customers. Their job entails understanding the buyer’s journey and then tailoring marketing campaigns that are relevant to potential buyers.

A product manager’s expertise is required by organizations to help plan and initiate market positioning for their products. Product managers typically take on the role of a product owner and are in charge of coordinating and planning product improvements, feature upgrades, and product version releases.

4. Content marketing
Content marketing entails writing and deploying blog posts as well as collaborating with designers to create stories, infographics, and other modes of sharing information about a product with the target audience for marketing and advertising purposes. As a content marketer, you’re more of a designer, and a huge part of what you bring to the table is your voice.
Content managers make certain that a product’s marketing messages are distributed across multiple media platforms. They are also in charge of developing campaign strategies to help bring products to the attention of the target audience.

Customer success entails anticipating customer challenges or questions and proactively finding solutions and answers to those problems and questions before they arise. It’s a long-term professional and step-by-step strategy for increasing customer value.

7. Human Resources

Finance professionals are needed in the technology industry to assist with the analysis of sales and profit data. They are in charge of all financial transactions, provide financial advice to the team, and manage income and expenses.
They prepare cash flow statements, budgets, and tax returns. They also devise methods for the company to reduce costs and spending in order to maximize profits.

Market research analysts are business experts that consult with various groups of people or products before collecting, processing, and translating business-related data for their employers or clients.
